Last year while I was at SlideShare.net, me and my friends were thinking of some cool ways to use our API. At the same time we were checking out emails from our users about how they are using sideshows in more fun way. Just then we came to know about PowerPoint Karaoke here and here.
After a few hours of javascript hacking, this is what I came up with.

This presentation is the winner of the World’s Best Presentation Contest 2008 organized by SlideShare.net
Interestingly, the same guy won the 1st prize last year for his presentation Shift Happens. Both of his presentations have a similar theme, they talk about statistics with the motive of generating awareness (or an emotion of insecurity) in the viewer and are thought provoking, I am not too sure about the authenticity of the statistics they bear. Nevertheless the presentation style is awesome. I loved it.

One of the most creative presentations I have seen (I have seen a lot, I used to work at SlideShare.net, world’s largest collection of presentations). If you are a traveler at heart, you would love this.
BTW, Slideshare is running Worlds Best Presentation contest. This one won my vote.
